Holiday Show Schedule

We may be biased, but we have to say, this year we have a really incredible holiday show schedule. Can you believe this is our 5th year participating in Richmond holiday shows? Neither can we! We look forward to these shows all year as a great way to connect with folks in real life as well as stock up on personal, handmade gifts. This year we have a nice round-up of our classic favorites, as well as some exciting additions to the places you can shop for our work in person, including our first-ever Holiday Studio Sale.

First up, we have two ongoing gallery shows opening the first weekend in December.

Johannah has several mosaic pieces accepted into this annual show featuring a variety of art from paintings to mixed media to sculpture. This show offers clients a chance to invest in Fine Art at affordable prices from compelling local and regional artists. All artwork featured in this show will be priced $400 or less and 8" x 8" or smaller.

WHEN: Opening reception Friday Nov. 30, 5:30 to 8 pm // Stop by the gallery in person or online through December 30.

Out & About in August and September

We're shaking things up a little the next few months with some events out in the wide, wide world that are a bit different from our standard craft shows.

First up, VASEN BREWING COMPANY. Kyle's been working with our newest Scott's Addition neighbors to create custom forged steel fixtures for their tasting room. They opened for business on July 29, so stop by for a cold farmhouse sour brew and check out the forged steel chandelier Kyle created with Wendy Umanoff, as well as the sign and a few other items. Can you spot them all??

Next up is RVA MAKERS. We're hosting the August meet-up at our studios. Come socialize with area makers and check out Johannah's demonstration of the tools and techniques she uses to create her mosaic artwork. And as a special bonus treat, check out the spaces of our new studio mates, Umanoff Design and Sweet Cheeks All Natural!

In September, Johannah will be the featured Artist of the Month at CHOCOLATES BY KELLY. If you have not had her chocolate, you are in for a treat. Go for the chocolate, stay for the art! Join us for opening night on First Friday, September 1. Johannah will be showing her recent Domestica series as well as work from earlier this year and a few mirrors.

And we wrap it all up with a return to the 43RD STREET FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS. Rain or shine, nothing beats a craft show in a beautiful, tree-lined historic neighborhood. Come on by and say hello!

Stop by our calendar for full details on all these events! Hope you can join us. We'd love to see you!

Spring Bada Bing 2016

Our favorite spring craft show is almost here! This is our third Spring Bada Bing and our fifth event with Richmond Craft Mafia. As part of a promotion for the show, Johannah demonstrated mosaics a few weeks ago on Virginia This Morning, a local news show. Take a peek at our mosaic artist in action!

Spring is a great time of year for shows. We always try to have a few new items to bring along. This year we have forged letter openers and mosaic trivets in reclaimed wood frames.

Spring Bada Bing is this Saturday, April 16 from 11-5 at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. $5 will get you in at 10 for Early Bird Shopping with proceeds to benefit Art 180. We'll be in the tent in the parking lot. Come on by and say hi!
