Spring Bada Bing 2016

Our favorite spring craft show is almost here! This is our third Spring Bada Bing and our fifth event with Richmond Craft Mafia. As part of a promotion for the show, Johannah demonstrated mosaics a few weeks ago on Virginia This Morning, a local news show. Take a peek at our mosaic artist in action!

Spring is a great time of year for shows. We always try to have a few new items to bring along. This year we have forged letter openers and mosaic trivets in reclaimed wood frames.

Spring Bada Bing is this Saturday, April 16 from 11-5 at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. $5 will get you in at 10 for Early Bird Shopping with proceeds to benefit Art 180. We'll be in the tent in the parking lot. Come on by and say hi!

Busy, busy!

It's only April, but spring has been a whirlwind of activity around here! Magazine articles, craft shows, open houses, and more. Here's a peek at what we've been up to lately.

We had a great time chatting with Kevin Clay for this article in the Share Issue of Greater Richmond GRID. You can find copies on news stands around town through April.

We even got a pull out quote in the article! Add that to the Phoenix Handcraft baby book of firsts.

Our booth neighbor from Zou Zou's Basement snapped this shot of the two of us in our booth at Spring Bada Bing. We had lots of fun at this busy craft show and look forward to more shows with Richmond Craft Mafia.

We hosted a rather spur-of-the-moment open house in our studios to celebrate spring. It's such fun to share our space and current work with new and old friends. Kyle demonstrated forging a bottle opener and afterwards we awarded two as door prizes.
