Open house at our studios

We held our second open house and hammer-in a few weeks ago. This time we were hosting RVA Makers, a group we created to foster community among those interested in handmade culture here in Richmond, VA. It's so much fun to open our doors to the community, to share our space and offer a behind-the-scenes peek at what's going on in our studios.

We set up part of our craft show booth to exhibit some of our mosaics, furniture, and smaller forged work.  Kyle created a Tim Burton-esque pumpkin stand in honor of the evening, and forged parts to a second stand as part of his blacksmithing demonstration. Later, our friend Josh, who has been smithing with Kyle since they were apprentices together, joined in for a two-person striking and twisting demo.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out for this fun evening. We had a great time!
