Small projects around the home

We love when clients come to us with interesting and unique challenges. Here are a few of the smaller residential projects we’ve worked on recently: a riveted metal baseboard, a stand for an ammonite fossil, a small interior custom railing, and large forged cabinet pulls.

A few hand forged railings

Here’s a collection of small, forged custom railings we’ve made recently. They really show off the versatility of forged design! From crisp and modern for a home in the Fan district of Richmond, to simple and elegant for a historic building, to organic-inspired for another local residence, Kyle and his team can design and create custom hand railings to fit any style.

Tree Gate

A local church here in Richmond, VA commissioned Kyle to create a large double leaf tree gate. He and his team created and installed the gate just in time for Easter morning services at the church.

Forging the leaves and branches was the first step in creating the gate. You can see the forging process above and the tree coming together on the layout table below.

And here it is installed, with a few detail shots. Those incredible shadows are almost as beautiful as the gate itself!
