Fire Screen Collaboration

Nothing is more gratifying to both of us as artists and  business partners than to use our unusual skillset on collaborative projects like this set of fire doors.

This custom fire screen was created as part of a room redesign and incorporates elements elsewhere in the room. The twelve porcelain and mirror glass mosaics pick up colors found in the upholstery. The forged bronze handles coordinate with other forged hardware and warm tones of the room.

The photos we've included here show the process of creating the many parts that came together to bring this project to life.

Coat Racks

We're excited to share our newest item in time for the holidays! Our coat racks are made-to-order in custom colors with your choice of two or four hooks. The hooks are available in two styles, a classic U and a modern V. We can incorporate your mementos into the mosaic to make this a truly unique and personal work of functional art. We'll be showing our coat racks for the first time at the VisArts Craft + Design show this weekend.

A few peeks at some recent projects around the studios, from top to bottom:

  • A client brought a 16th century trunk into Kyle looking for a custom hand forged stand. We love when unique projects like this come our way.

  • Kyle also gave a blacksmithing lesson to a student who seemed to have a real knack for it!

  • Johannah created a few colorful gradients that will eventually be part of some collaborative coat racks with forged hooks by Kyle. The coat racks will be finished in time to take along to our next show next month, Craft + Design.  We can make these to order to match any decor, and we can even work your mementos into the second design!
